Founded by a Mesa native, raised by the "reed rats" and the concrete landscape of loading docks and gaps, Tugboat's journey began with a hand-me-down board in 1997. The arrival of a skatepark named Reed finally offered a dedicated space to hone those street-forged skills. Tugboat has since moved to The Deck skatepark where he continues to contribute to the skateboard community. More than just decks, Tugboat Boards is a platform for emerging amateur artists, breathing fresh life into skate culture and giving back to the very community that shaped its founder. This is perfectly embodied in the brand's initial design, "McClouded." Inspired by the iconic 1997 video game Starfox 64 and brought to life by the Oklahoma-based talent of Ransom_Artist, the board is a testament to the power of creative collaboration.
